Our Brick Wall Breaker service is a focused investigation to resolve a single research impasse and confirm a person’s identity.
With the Ancestor Biography service, we focus on one ancestor and their immediate family, searching for all retrievable documents about them in France.
You can schedule a consultation or contact us, describe what you know, and we will guide you toward the most appropriate service (or tell you honestly if research is unlikely to progress).
We can research any starting person (male or female) who is of French origin, or who lived, married, or died in France, regardless of their nationality.
Your research project can begin with a direct ancestor, a collateral relative, or any individual with a documented connection to France.
All our communication, reports, and delivered materials are provided in English. We handle the translation and interpretation of all original French documents for you.
Our research is based in French archives, though it may occasionally extend to Belgium and Luxembourg where records require it.

Family Tree and Ancestor Biography services include a printed book, a booklet of original archive records with English translations, and one or more pedigree charts — delivered by post to your home.
The Brick Wall Breaker delivers a detailed research report as a PDF by email.
We ship printed books, booklets, and charts to the postal address you provide when ordering. You can choose a different delivery address (for example, as a gift) during checkout or by letting us know before dispatch. Shipping is included in the service price and sent via tracked delivery.
You can pay in full at checkout, or choose to pay a 50% deposit. The remaining balance is due before delivery: for the Brick Wall Breaker, before you receive the PDF report; for printed services, before production and shipment.
